York Design Awards 2025 edition open for entries

Entries are now being accepted to showcase York’s best new buildings as the 2025 edition of the York Design Awards is now open.

The 17th annual awards were formally launched at an event at St Peter’s school where distinguished speakers Professor Lorraine Farrelly, founding professor and head of the new School of Architecture at the University of York, and Phil Bixby, a three-time winner at the 2024 York Design Awards and a respected Passivhaus architect spoke to a packed audience of industry experts and community leaders.

The York Design Awards showcase the city’s architectural excellence, celebrating projects that exemplify innovation, sustainability, and respect for York’s rich heritage.

Entries can be made on a wide range of properties including single and multiple dwelling residential developments, community and commercial buildings, as well as open space, public realm and landscape projects.  Any projects completed in the last three years are eligible to enter and to find more information on the entry and judging process, please visit Application Form « York Design Awards

The winners will be announced at a glittering awards ceremony in June at the City Screen.
